Qiqihar student radio ;)

A couple of days ago I was asked to talk about the country of Norway...

...on the Qiqihar student radio. Well, since I just spent a few days in Norway 2006, all of them in the capital, I was wondering what the Chinese students wanna hear about that place in Scandinavia.

I started to collect facts from Wikepedia and MS Encarta plus a few songs from Ryksopp, but in my mind talking to a Norwegian person would be much more interesting than talking about the Viking-culture and how rich Norway became because of it's oil.

I called to NRK P2 Culture Channel (a Norwegian radio station) and asked if somebody would have 15 to 20min for a phone interview. They gave me the contact data of their correspondent in Beijing plus two contacts at the Royal Embassy of Norway in China. I couldn't reach any of those people.

But who needs correspondents and embassy contacts if one has friends ;) ?!? I was a lucky guy that my friend Markus had time and was online, so we called him about 1 hour before the show and recored the call. I spoke hardly anything, but the two Chinese girls that were with me asked him questions for almost half an hour :-)

Well, after that it was already time to go to the studio. It was fun but also really chaotic. We were four people on the mics, therefore I didn't speak much, maybe two to three minutes. All in all half in hour is too short. That's why we had to stop before we could send the interesting last part of the interview.
